AGRICULTURAL PHOTOGRAPHY
AMUR ENERGY
Following on from previous agricultural photography shoots undertaken for international company AB AGRI it was great to be commissioned for a branding project for Amur Energy. Amur is one of the leading companies in the Anaerobic Digestion marketplace. The location for the shoot was their digestion plant near Sherburn in Elmet in Yorkshire.
I was in documentary photography heaven as the site manager took myself and the Communications Officer from AB AGRI around the site. Full PPE gear was required – I always love donning a hard hat and high vis jacket! The brief was to capture a series of images to support the branding of AMUR. Specific requirements were large format images for trade show display panels alongside website and marketing literature use. I took wide view images of the entire site from ground and rather excitingly from aerial viewpoints. This involved some rather adventurous and stomach churning climbs up the side of plant towers. It was worth the fear for the views though! Sometimes a bit of height is the only way to do an image justice.
The site tour also gave opportunities to document staff at work as well as closer details of plant machinery. We also took images in the site lab where tests are run on the “soup” as the product is called in the domes.
The images are to be used to support exhibition space branding at trade shows alongside general marketing. Creative agency We Are Halo are behind the full brand development for Amur.
