As Bettys pips past it’s 100th birthday I thought it would be a great opportunity to share some images of one of their best loved bakery products – the Fat Rascal. It has been such a privilege working with Bettys over the last 2 years. I’ve loved the diversity of the commissions which have covered off food, documentary, interiors, lifestyle and portraits.
One of highlight shoots for me was documenting behind the scenes at The Craft Bakery in Harrogate. For me, this was photography heaven as the shoot really allowed me to embrace my documentary eye. It really did feel an honour to be behind the scenes and see products that I’ve grown up with since childhood in production.
Other shoots have focused on branding and lifestyle photography at the Bettys tearoom locations. I’ve loved working with the staff across Yorkshire who have always been so helpful and willing to get involved in the photography.
There are all sorts of events and special product launches to celebrate the centenary. You can find out lots more, including lots of company history, through this link – BETTYS CENTENARY
Happy Centenary to Bettys!
