A village marquee celebration near York
I always love a village wedding as there is a real sense of community, and the ability to walk between all locations on the day gives scope for some great documentary moments. I guess these days the structure of Isabella & Tim’s wedding would be viewed in some circles as traditional as there was a proper send off for the couple in the early evening as they drove off into the sunset on their honeymoon. So no big bash till the early hours but instead a wonderful celebration with family and friends focusing around a beautiful church ceremony and then a delicious afternoon tea style wedding breakfast. Time was still set aside for dancing during the afternoon and I loved that Isabella & Tim had chosen to lead their guests through the Gay Gordon for their first dance!
The weather gave us everything going and the heavens opened in spectacular style at the end of the church ceremony. Everyone huddled in the church till the downpour passed over apart from a few brave souls who decided to grab an umbrella and go for it! The sun emerged later on giving some lovely light for the early evening. I captured some wonderful speeches and it was great to see Isabella kick off her shoes and not miss out on the bouncy castle action!
Congratulations again to you both xx
